Responsible Person (EU)
Under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, every cosmetic product placed on the EU market needs a Responsible Person established in the EU. This role is held by the importer or a person it appoints; it is not transferred to the supplier by a commercial agreement. MAKSATT does not act as EU Responsible Person.
Safety report, product file and notification
The Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR), the Product Information File (PIF) and the CPNP notification are completed through the Responsible Person. MAKSATT coordinates the technical inputs it holds for the product, such as formula information and batch documents.
Other markets
Requirements differ by country. Tell us your destination market early, so that labelling and documentation can be planned before production.
